ISIS Jihadists execute man for blasphemy in Raqqa: Jihadist fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) have executed a man in Syrias Raqqa province after accusing him of blasphemy, sources told Zaman Alwasl. Activists said the fighter has been killed over defection attempt, which is not related to blasphemy, Unless ISIS disobedience might make him infidel, they added. In June 2013, ISIS had executed a teenager in front of his parents after accusing him of blaspheming against the Prophet Mohammed. In relevant context, ISIS has arrested a number of Hamza brigade’s fighters after their refusal to pledge allegiance to The Islamic State in Tal Abyad, border town with Turkey, 50 km north Raqqa. Hamza brigade is operating under the ISIS leadership where its mission to guard the strategic border crossing of Tal Abyad. But since shuttering the crossing by ISIS month ago, thousands of people have been strapped next to the borders in severe life conditions due to their inability to pass from and to Turkey. The jihadist group has been criticized by many within the Syrian opposition for a string of abuses in areas under its control. But it remains a potent fighting force in Syria, where nearly 136,000 people have been killed since the conflict began in March 2011, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
