ISIS is a symptom of a political vacuum in dictator-based countries and a dominante religious culture. Radical Islamic movement began in 1928, with the founding of the muslim brotherhood in Egypt who rejected Western industrialization and modernization and created instead a rigid ideology imbedded in the traditional values and laws of the Koran. Radical or Militant Islam gained momentum after the devastating Arab loss to Israel in the Six-Day War of June 1967, and In 1979, when Iran became the first modern Islamic republic, as Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini overthrew Irans secular regime and established a new order in which sharia became law. Suddenly, Islamism was no longer an ideology of movements. It had inspired a state. Iran had successfully exported radical Islam to other parts of the Islamic world. Perhaps the easiest target of all was Lebanon, a small, war-torn state that had been bloodied by years of internal conflict. During the Afghan war against the Soviets (1980-1989, the CIA sponsored Al Qaeda to fight the Soviet occupation. Al Qaeda, became then an umbrella group that facilitates and orchestrates the operations of Islamic militants around the globe. َSince then militant Islam is spreading and developing across muslim countries and the different radical movements are recruiting youngsters from across the globe. Many Socio-political factors played a major role in the leverage of radicalisation in the last 15 years and made many muslims sympathise with radical Islams rigid ideology. Today, these ideologies are threatening the whole world and the solution would mainly come from the secular muslim them-selves who should establish well structured secular movements to present the alternative. True that ISIS have now created an internal debate in these countries and clercs are admitting that ISIS didnt come from Mars but from their same islamic ideology but we cant count whatsoever on such clercs who inwardly would want to implement Sharia whenever is possible and deny democratic beliefs that will weaken their influence!
