ISLAM IS A MODERATE WAY OF LIFE (RELIGION) Thus have We made of you a nation justly balanced, that you may be witnesses over the people and the Messenger a witness over yourselves (al-Baqarah 143). In this world we see people who are extreme with regards to their thinking and lifestyle. On one side you have people who are too conservative and on other side there are people who are too liberal. With regards to God there are people who are too extreme and they concoct wrong concept of God,making God into idols and humans. Quran even criticize christians who took Jesus christ peace be upon as God. O people of the book (Jews and Christians)! Do not go to extremes in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was [no more or less than] a messenger of Allah Quran 4:171 Similarly there are people who has nothing to do with God,they take their desire as their god. They outright denies the existence of God “Have you seen him who takes his low desires for his god? Are you a guardian over them? Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are but as the cattle; nay, they are farther astray from the path.”(The Holy Quran, 25:43–44.) Islam is halway between the two extreme. Islam does believe in God but that God is not like humans or anything in this universe. God is unique. Similarly Islam also believes that it is illogical to believe that there is no proof for existence of God “Or were they created by nothing? Or were they the creators (of themselves)? Or did they create heavens and earth? Rather, they are not certain.” Quran 52:35-36 Even if you compare both extreme with Islam,you will always find islam moderate. For example with regards to marriage one extreme says that one should not marry and live the life of celibacy The other extreme says that marriage is not important,they can have alternative lifestyles Islam is against celibacy and recommends marriage for satisfaction of human desire.
