ISLAM according to the language In terms of language,, Islam is derived from the word aslama rooted from word Salama .. The word Islam is a form mashdar words salama . In terms of the language that is associated with the original saying, Islam has several meanings, including: 1. Derived from salm which means peace. Salm word meaning damai . And this is one of the meanings and characteristics of Islam, namely that Islam is a religion that always brings humanity at peace 2. Derived from the word aslama which means giving up. This indicates that a person who converted to Islam is someone who is sincere surrender body and soul only to Allah. Such surrender is characterized by the implementation that Allah has commanded and stay away from all prohibitions . Therefore, as a Muslim, should we surrender ourselves to the rules of Islam and also to the will of Allah. Because God willing will thus make our hearts at ease, peace and quiet (read mutmainah). 3. Derived from the word istaslama-mustaslimun: total submission to Allah. The actual meanings as above (points second). Because as a Muslim, we actually asked for in total over all the body and soul and possessions or whatever we have, only to Allah. 4. Derived from the word saliim which means clean and pure. This shows that Islam is a religion that is pure and clean, which is able to make its adherents to have cleanliness and sanctity of life that can deliver the ultimate happiness, both in this world and in the hereafter. 5. Derived from the salam which means safe and prosperous. Its meaning is that Islam is a religion that always brings humanity to the safety and well-being,Because Islam provides welfare and safety in every human being wholeheartedly follow Sharia.
