ISLAMABAD - The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday transferred and posted 56 officers of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and Pakistan Customs Services (PCS) groups - the fifth major reshuffle in tax machinery in last couple of months since the appointment of board new chairman Tariq Bajwa. The FBR, which is struggling hard to achieve its monthly revenue collection targets, has been frequently changing its administration in a bid to bring honest and hardworking officers at top. FBR has to achieve gigantic revenue collection target of Rs 2475 billion. Tariq Bajwa has been tasked to build a team for pursuing revenue collection target of Rs2,475 billion for the current fiscal year 2013-14. However, FBR has so far struggled to achieve the target, as revenue shortfall has already reached to Rs 15 billion in first couple of months (July and August) of ongoing financial year 2013-14. FBR has provisionally colleted Rs 280 billion in July-August period against the target of Rs 295 billion. Sources said that chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa could not build a team that could give desire results, therefore, large numbers of transfers and posting made. According to the notifications issued here, 11 officers of BS-19 of Pakistan Customs Services (PCS) group, 21 officers of BS-18 of PCS and 11 officers of BS-17 of PCS group were transferred and posted on Friday. Meanwhile, one officer of BS-19 of Inland Revenue Services group, 9 officers of IRS group, 2 officers of BS-17 of IRS group and one officer of BS-16 of Income Tax department was transferred and posted. According to the notification, Muhammad Asghar Khan (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Additional Director, Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit, Islamabad. Muhammad Sadiq (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Director (OPS), IOCO, Lahore. Muhammad Adnan Akram (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Additional Director, Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs), Lahore. Shazia Ikram (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Additional Director, Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi. Khalid Hussain Jamali (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Additional Director, Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs), Karachi. The notification further revealed that Malik Kamran Azam Khan (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Additional Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar. Muhammad Mohsin Rafiq (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Additional Collector, Office of the Chief Collector Customs (Centeral). Lahore. Ashraf Ali (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Additional Director, IOCO, Lahore. Muhammad Jamil Nasir Khan (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Additional Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar. Engr. Riyaz Ahmed Memon (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-19) as Additional Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Hyderabad.
