ISP DISTRICT 19 TRAFFIC CRASH ALERT The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 19: WHAT: Multi-Vehicle / Personal Injury Traffic Crash WHERE: Illinois Route 1, approximately 1/2 mile west of Interstate 64 (White County) WHEN: Thursday, 08/01/13 at 8:32 a.m. VEHICLES: 2001 Chevrolet Truck 2010 Ford Mustang DRIVERS: Terry L. Russell, age 59, of Enfield, Illinois Sarah Kay Loftin, age 23, Sumner, Illinois PRELIMINARY: According to the preliminary investigation, the driver of the 2001 Chevrolet Truck, Terry L. Russell, was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 1, approximately ½ mile west of Interstate 64, when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and sideswiped a northbound 2010 Ford Mustang, driven by Sarah Kay Loftin. Russell was not injured. Loftin was transported by White County Ambulance Service to Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, for treatment of her injuries. The Chevrolet truck was removed from the crash scene by Wabash Valley Service Company. The Ford Mustang was removed by Rick’s Towing of Grayville, Illinois. ISP District 19 was assisted at the crash scene by the Grayville Police Department, White County Ambulance Service, and Little Wabash Fire Department. CHARGES: Russell was cited for Improper Lane Usage All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
