ISilo samabandla onke, King Goodwill Zwelithini got married over the weekend. Newspapers brand it , King marries wife no.6.......... I sense disrespect from whomever came up with this heading. It is loaded with negative undercurrents that most people wont pick up. Shouldnt the focus be on the act of marriage not quantity? Calling the Kings wife no.6 instead of calling her by her name is clear disregard for who she is and the institution shes marrying into. Clearly the newspaper heading has quantified the Kings marriage making it a perfunctory exercise rather than a solemn act of love. I guess this is called freedom of speech and has low disregard for the right of dignity that the other person deserves. I keep noticing how those of different cultures are treated with disdain by those of dominant cultures. If Kate and William were to have their second or third child, I do not see that child called by quantified statistic. He/she would be called by his/her name........Freedom of speech in this case will be coupled with fitting right of dignity.......How does that happen???? Freedom of speech I guess. ......as assumed to be unfluenced by our own prejudices and biases......
