IT IS A GOVERNMENT / UNION FUNCTION TO SET THE INFLATION ADJUSTED MINIMUM WAGE. It is not about Wal-Mart’s profits, McDonald’s profits, CEO wages, dollar menus or etc. If we had left it to MANAGEMENT we would still be working 10 hours a day 6 days a week alongside our minor children just to keep a roof over our heads!!!!!!!!! Agreed (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) A “living MINIMUM wage, with overtime benefits,” that is inflation adjusted, Unions, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), Social Security, Medicaid, Unemployment, Food Stamps, and Unionism are all outgrowths of a Democratic Constitutional Representative Governments attempt to promote the general Welfare We need a livable minimum wage to give the WORKER the respect that their efforts deserve, a livable income. And as it adds to limited inflation that is a good thing!!!!! My issue is with the hatred of the ANTI McDonald/ Wal-Mart/KFC forces. McDonald/Wal-Mart/KFC is paying the prevailing wage. This is a government or union issue not a McDonald/Wal-Mart/KFC/Private industry issue. We now sell inflation adjusted “Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities” (TIPS) to protect investors. We need a “living wage, with overtime benefits” that is inflation adjusted not a fixed unlivable minimum wage!!!!!! Raising KFC, Walmart and McDonalds employee wages will only address the cosmetic issues of unlivable minimum wage. I assure you there are more people that are trying to live off minimum wage that dont work at KFC, Walmart and McDonald than DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
