IT IS NOT JUST HAMAS! Look peeps, there are several major wars (defined as 10,000+ deaths per year) and civil unrest and skirmishes and conflicts going on among people around the world. Our friends in SYRIA and LEBANON are being bombed too, but we don’t hear much about that in the news. The terrorist philosophy (if you can call it that) is nothing but death and rot. It will be defeated. You know how? Not just militarily but by a much more powerful weapon: PRAYER! I am bold enough to say this “caliphate” nonsense has GOT TO GO! That means you too, al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, al-Qaeda, Ansar al-Sharia, Boko Haram, Hamas, Hezbollah, Muslim Brotherhood, Taliban and the United National Liberation Front to name just a FEW! The lists below (from Wikipedia) detail the violence in our world today, not to mention the starvation, deprivation and strife destroying people particularly in areas of Africa. We are in a world on fire. Why do people still blame George W. Bush for this? A bit short-sighted I would say. Yet, here in New York our Facebook quibbles remain partisan and mundane – mere party politics. I’m sick. I’m particularly sick (and sad and hurt) that certain people (one-time friends (friends?)) refuse to accept rational debate and critical thinking. Hang on to your hats RAW and RH (although you blocked me and can’t hear me). I think you may be in for a big disillusionment. I’m sick. Hurt, scared and alone. I need friends. I thank God for those friends and family who love me still. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Locations[1] of ongoing conflicts around the world, August 2014 Major wars and civil unrest, 10,000+ deaths per year Major wars and civil unrest, more than 1,000 deaths per year Minor skirmishes and conflicts, 100 to 999 deaths per year Minor skirmishes and conflicts, fewer than 100 deaths per year The following is a list of ongoing armed conflicts that are taking place around the world and continue to result in violence. This list is for the sole purpose of identifying present-day conflicts and the death toll associated with each conflict. Note: • Fatality figures include both civilian and military deaths unless otherwise indicated. • Listed conflicts are at least 100 cumulative deaths in total and at least 1 death in current or past calendar year. • Military conflicts that no longer produce violence are not listed here, but can be found in the historical list of wars and the list of wars extended by diplomatic irregularity. • Fatality totals may be underestimated or unavailable due to a lack of information. A figure with a plus sign indicates that at least that many people have died (e.g. 455+ indicates that at least 455 people have died) - the actual toll could be considerably higher. • Only states with ongoing military activity are listed, past states and states where conflicts are no longer active are omitted. 10,000 or more deaths per year Conflicts in the following list are currently causing at least 10,000 violent deaths per year.
