IT MUST BE A JOKE – RIGHT! State Environmental Protection Policies (SEPP) – Steals land and water off farmers. Native Vegetation Act (NVA) – steals land and timber off farmers. Environmental Zones (E Zones) – effectively removes the right to farm. BioDiversity Overlays and Riparian Zones – effectively removes the right to do a development application on many farms. LISMORE CITY COUNCILS BIODIVERSITY MANAGEMENT STRATEGY (BMS) – taxes farmers (and you) to pay the wages of environmentalists, and to raise money for council to pay for what it should already be doing, and what’s left over pays a few ‘lucky’ farmers to look after what was stolen from them. DO YOU WONDER WHY I OPPOSE IT? Please take the time over this festive season to give a little cheer to our farmers by writing a couple of lines submission to LCC saying NO to the BMS.
