IT`S NOT THE SAME You go out to try your old favorites things and most of the time you notice it`s not the same anymore. The burgers don`t have that greasy taste. The fries don`t have that crunch and the sodas don`t have enough bubbles. Even the service isn`t as good as it used to be. You hunt for the best red burros and you`re still searching. how about the clothes? You bought a pair of levi pants and they would last almost 8 months. Those shirts from Sears would last at least two hand me downs. We would make a trip to down town phoenix to buy school clothes. It was an all day trip with burgers from the Mac. we were allowed to go the penny arcade , by ourselves and send fifty cents. We would go to Tucson and buy milk from a machine and eat sandwiches in the car. At times the town would give away so goodies and bring in a clown. We drank a lot of tang during those days. The Mexican food is not quite the same as people don`t know what you`re taking about when you order a cheese tortilla. You can tell that things have changed when some of the people have changed also. I guess since we are but into a world where we are always looking for something better we sometimes forget what we have had in the past. We enjoyed our past with all the fine memories but things will never be the same again . As our little town of Ajo is losing another business it`s not going to be the same.
