IT System Administrator is highly required Title: System Administrator Summary: The System Administrator manages in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. S/he will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required. Responsibilities: Installing, configuring, and maintaining server operation including configuration management systems, database systems, and application servers. Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware. Operate master consoles in order to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use. Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records. Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes. Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems. Research new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementation. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Manage vendor and contractor relationships. Manage servers, including e-mail, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and UPSs. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent 3+ years relevant work experience Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems: Microsoft Windows 7, Server 2003/2008/2008 R2, VMware vSphere/ ESXi, Linux Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards including firewalls, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, and SNMP Experience with database systems Experienced with configuration management systems (SVN) Experienced with installing, configuring, and marinating application servers Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products Strong interpersonal skills Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language Highly self-motivated and directed Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize and execute multiple responsibilities Desire to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment If interested please send your C.V. to [email protected] stating the job title in the subject, otherwise it will be ignored.
