IT Technician Job Description Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks; Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports; Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system; Supporting the rollout of new applications Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate); Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time; Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers; Testing and evaluating new technology; Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners and more Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades Talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of problems Responding to breakdowns Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults Repairing equipment and replacing parts Supervising junior engineering and technical staff Agreeing call-out time scales Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation Required Skills or Experience A thorough knowledge of chip level repairs, especially with laptops A thorough knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software Excellent problem-solving skills The ability to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users The ability to priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines A patient and methodical approach The ability to work alone or as part of a team How To Apply Send cv’s and any appropriate certificate(s) to: kboakye76@yahoo Last day for submission of application:18 Jul, 2013 Contact Daniel Asenso-Agyemang
