It is important to note that if Dembare had won yesterdays match, they would not have been crowned Champions on the day, meaning either victory or a draw would still have made the 29th round of matches still-important. DYNAMOS FC are now top on 54 points while ZPC are on 53. There are 2 rounds of matches still to play and interestingly the 2 top teams clash in the very next match in Harare. DYNAMOS FC SIMPLY NEED TO BEAT ZPC AND THEY WILL LIFT THE TITLE. This will render the last round of matches mere dead rubbers. Because of the victory, DYNAMOS FC would be on 57 points with ZPC on 53, a 4-point gap that cannot be wiped out in the remaining 1 round of matches. If DYNAMOS and ZPC play out a draw, then DYNAMOS would be on 55, ZPC on 54 meaning DYNAMOS will still need an outright victory over How Mine in the last match to win the Titlegg. That would render ZPCs last match against Caps Utd useless. It is important to note that ZPC will NOT be crowned Champions if they beat DYNAMOS FC in the penultimate match. That scenario would have taken them top on 56 points with Dembare trailing on 54 points meaning ZPC will still need to beat Caps Utd in their last match to win the PSL title outright, with Dembares match against How Mine reduced to a dead rubber. If ZPC draw with Caps and DYNAMOS FC beat How Mine, the top teams will be tied on 57 points. In this scenario, Goal Difference will eventually come into play to crown the Champions. Caps Utd still have a very faint chance of winning the Title, that is if they beat Harare City by at least 5 goals in their next match. This will take their points tally to 52 and they will need DYNAMOS FC and ZPC to play out a draw meaning DYNAMOS FC would be on 55 and ZPC on 54. Caps should then beat ZPC by at least 2 goals in their last match and move up to 55. They would then hope DYNAMOS FC lose to How Mine and they would be crowned Champions on Goal Difference.
