ITA WELCOMES RETURNING DIRECTORS TO ITA BOARD The International Titanium Association (ITA), Denver, CO, is pleased to announce the return of Frank L. Perryman, president and chief executive officer of Perryman Co., Houston, PA, to the ITA Board of Directors. Frank returns to the ITA Board after the vacancy left by Edward Newman’s resignation from Keywell LLC. Dr. Markus Holz, President, AMGs Engineering Systems Division / CEO of ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH; and Michael Metz, President, VSMPO Tirus US will both be extending their terms on the ITA Board this September 2014. “The 13 professionals who gather around the Board table regularly are committed, generous individuals” said Jennifer Simpson, Executive Director of the ITA for the past 13 years, “They give of their time and resources, they consider who they know and try to connect even more potential members and attendees with the Association, and they provide tremendous leadership as ITA envisions its future and moves toward significant expansion of its programs over the next two years”. In addition to Messrs. Perryman, Holz and Metz, the ITA board is comprised of Brett Paddock of Titanium Industries Inc. (ITA President); Dawne Hickton of RTI International Metals, Inc. (ITA Vice President); Hunter Dalton of ATI Allvac (ITA Secretary/Treasurer); Susan Abkowitz of Dynamet Technology, Inc.; Lawrence Buhl III of Lawrence Holdings Inc.; Donald Larsen of Alcoa Howmet; Henry Seiner of TIMET, Titanium Metals Corporation; Edward Sobota of TSI Titanium; Jerry St. Clair of Vulcanium Metals International, LLC; and Graham Walker of AMETEK - Reading Alloys. Perryman serves as the Chair of the ITA Applications Committee; Holz is Chair of the TITANIUM EUROPE Planning Committee; and Metz is Past President of the ITA and Chair of the Nominating Committee. ITA will be seeking new board member nominations starting in 2015. The nominating committee will be looking to interview enthusiastic candidates who provide leadership and a unique perspective to support the global titanium industry. Time commitment involves attendance at a minimum of four board meetings per year. Active participation in the ITA’s annual TITANIUM conference is strongly encouraged. A non-profit trade group established in 1984, the ITA’s main mission is promoting the use of titanium metal in all applications as well as advancing ideas in research, design, metallurgy and engineering. More than 200 organizations and over 1,500 individuals make up ITA’s membership.
