The liner notes for a remastered version of Summers self-titled 1982 album, which included the song, quote her as saying: When Bruce brought me the song originally, we tried doing it as a duo. It was a great idea, but it really didnt work out. The tune just wasnt written that way and eventually I did it myself. What might their unreleased version have sounded like? This mix of a demo he performed with the E Street Band and her recording gives us an idea.
