ITLS —Nuclear Technical Institute Announces 2014 First Quarter Specialized Training Classes February: Welder Workmanship and Visual Inspection Training Thursday, February 6, 2014 This one day course (8 hours) )provides the training your welder needs to meet the requirements of Mil-Std 248, NAVSEAS S904-AQ-GIB—010/248, EB 4286E and WWT-278. The course has been approved by ITLS Level III Non-Destructive Test Examiner. Examinations are administered and a passing grade of 75% is required. Certification Review Tuesday/Wednesday, February 18 & 19, 2014 This two (2) day course is designed to help the individual in the organization who is responsible for developing or reviewing material certifications and other related order documents. It focuses on Commercial and Naval Nuclear requirements. March: NAVSEAS 250-1500 MT/VT Examiner Preparation Wednesday – Friday, March 19 – 21, 2014 This three (3) day course has been developed to assist the individual in preparation for taking the NAVSEA 250-1500 Examiner test for Magnetic Particle Testing. It is presumed since the individual is going for their “Examiner” test that they are experienced in the discipline; hence this is NOT a course in Magnetic Particle Testing theory. Rather the course focuses on understanding and interpreting the requirements of the welding standard as it applies to MT. The opportunity to perform practical exams in both wet and dry methods is included. Note: US Citizenship is required for this class.
