ITM University, Gurgaon held its Annual Scholarship and Fee Concession Distribution Ceremony on 17 November 2014. The University awarded scholarships on merit and means basis to deserving students. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Honourbale Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana. Students from all the three Schools of the University participated in Scholarship Distribution ceremony. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki distributed the Scholarship awards to the outstanding scholars, while the Chancellor, Mr NK Dewan and the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Prem Vrat presented the fee waiver awards to the students on merit and means basis. Presenting the awards, Prof. Solanki appreciated support provided to the students through the scholarships. “The University is a centre of learning, training and creating good human resources. I am delighted to note that the student intake in ITM University is 100%. The ratio of female employees at 60% and that of female students in different streams at 30% is also praiseworthy”, Prof. Solanki said. He emphasized on Prime Minister’s vision of digital India and mentioned that the three ‘S’ are very important in the 21st century – Skill, Scale and Speed. He was pleased to see that ITM University has come good on these three ‘S’. He further said, “It is also noteworthy that ITM University is completely free of ragging and mobile phones are prohibited in classrooms, thus creating a good academic environment.” He was glad to see the ambience of the University and quality of higher education provided by the University to meet the state and national needs. A total of about 200 students were provided Scholarship and Fee Concession awards amounting to over Rs. 1.5 crores. Earlier, the ITM University staff and students accorded a warm welcome to the Governor on his arrival at the campus. The campus was decorated with flowers and colours on the occasion and the patriotic fervour was added by the University Choir with chants of the National Anthem and Vande Matram.
