ITS ABOUT OUR COMMON FATHER, NOT OUR BRAND “The WORST DAY of my life was when I took my hubby to the hospital with a killer headache, and they discovered an ANEURYSM in his brain at age 37. They put him into a medically induced coma for the next 2 days. On the day of the surgery, they were wheeling him into the operating room. I kissed him goodbye, and said, ‘Okay ... we have the Presbyterians, the Baptists, Episcopalians, Pentecostals, and Catholics all praying.’ Then I said, ‘OH NO! We forgot the Jews!’ Just then, the anesthesiologist passed by and said, ‘Gotcha covered!’ My hubby made it!” Betsy Peacock •••• Betsy’s delightful story reinforces that PRAYER is a UNIVERSAL experience. Do we think God cares about your “brand” of faith, or does He just care that YOU are TALKING WITH HIM through prayer? Betsy’s story of praise makes us smile, but it also brings us back to basics. When you pray, godwinks happen—prayers are answered. Wishes for winks SQuire
