ITS FUN TO WORK WITH PROS I just finished a deal with Maria Duncan and Scott Andrews of Melvin Mark Company that was delightful. They represented the Union Bank Building...and I had the good fortune to represent Venture Business Centers, Inc. in a deal for the entire 11th floor of the building. Going against traditional wisdom...Im going to not only compliment my competition...but do so highly. I dont offer landlord representation services, but I know who Im likely to recommend in the future. Whether it was responding to messages rapidly, looking for reasonable solutions to challenges, or being focused, and managing details...they were great. They vigorously advocated for their client (the building owner) and worked with my client to develop a strategy that reduced perceived risk for the building owner. If it was my asset being leased out thats what I would want from my agent. I always tell folks If you want to be a genius in 5-years...make smart commercial real estate investments today.
