John 12:26 ; Luke 9:57-62 ; John 10:27 ; John 21:17 ; Matthew 10:37-39 ; Luke 18:28-30 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3 To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. 12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath days journey. 13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. 15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) 16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. 17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. 18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. 19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. 20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishopric let another take. 21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. 23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. 26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. Juan 12:26 ; Lucas 9:57 ; Juan 10:27 ; Juan 21:17 ; Mateo 10:37 ; Lucas 18:28 el antiguo tratado me he hecho, oh Teófilo, de todas las cosas que Jesús comenzó a hacer y enseñar, 2 Hasta el día en que fue tomada, después de esto él a través del Espíritu Santo ha dado mandamientos á los apóstoles que había elegido: 3 a quien también se mostró vivo después de su pasión, muchas pruebas indubitables, apareciéndoseles durante cuarenta días y hablándoles acerca del reino de Dios: 4 y que, al ser montado junto con ellos, les mandó que no deben apartarse de Jerusalén, sino que esperasen la promesa del Padre, que dice: Él, habéis oído hablar de mí. 5 Para John realmente bautizado con agua, pero vosotros seréis bautizados con el Espíritu Santo no muchos días. 6 Por lo tanto, cuando se juntan, se pregunta de él, diciendo: Señor, ¿quieres, pues en este momento cuando vas a restablecer el reino de Israel? 7 Y él les dijo: no es para que usted pueda saber los tiempos o las temporadas y que el Padre ha puesto en su propio poder. 8 Pero recibiréis poder, después que el Espíritu Santo ha venido sobre vosotros, y seréis testigos á mí tanto en Jerusalén, en toda Judea, en Samaria, y á los postrero de la tierra. 9 Y habiendo dicho estas cosas, viéndolo ellos, fue alzado, y le recibió una nube que le ocultó de sus ojos. 10 Y estando ellos con los ojos puestos en el cielo, él fue, he aquí dos varones se pusieron junto á ellos en vestidos blancos; 11, en la que tambiã©n les dijeron: Varones Galileos, ¿qué estáis mirando al cielo? Este mismo Jesús, que ha sido tomado de vosotros al cielo, así vendrá como le habéis visto ir al cielo. 12 Entonces volvió á Jerusalén desde el monte llamado Olivet, que es de Jerusalén un sábado día de viaje. 13 Y cuando llegaron, se fueron en un cenáculo, donde residir tanto Pedro y Santiago, y Juan y Andrés, Felipe y Tomás, Bartolomé y Mateo, Jacobo hijo de Alfeo, y Simón zelota, Judas hermano de Jacobo. 14 Todos estos continuaron con un acuerdo en la oración y la súplica, con las mujeres, y con María la madre de Jesús, y con sus hermanos. 15 Y en aquellos días Pedro se levantó en medio de los discípulos, y dijo: (el número de nombres de unos ciento veinte) 16 Varones hermanos, esta escritura debe se han cumplido, que el Espíritu Santo por boca de David habló antes de Judas, que fue guía de los que tuvo Jesús. 17 Para que se numeran con nosotros, y que ha obtenido parte de este ministerio. 18 Ahora bien, este hombre adquirió un campo con la recompensa de la impiedad; y arremetiendo, añicos en medio, y todas sus entrañas brotaron. 19 Y se le conocía á todos los moradores de Jerusalem; de tal como que campo se denomina en su propio idioma materno, Aceldama, es decir, campo de sangre. 20 Porque está escrito en el libro de los Salmos, y su morada será desolado, y no haya quien more en ella; y su obispado tome otro. 21 Por lo cual de estos hombres que han estado juntos con nosotros todo el tiempo que el Señor Jesús entró y salió entre nosotros, 22 Comenzando desde el bautismo de Juan, hasta el mismo día que fue recibido arriba de entre nosotros, hay que ser ordenado para un testigo con nosotros de su resurrección. 23 Y ellos dos, José, llamado Barsabas, que tenía por sobrenombre Justo, y Matías. 24 Y oraron, y dijo: Tú, Señor, sabes que los corazones de todos los hombres, mostrar si de estos dos has escogido, 25 que podrá tomar parte de este ministerio y apostolado, de que cayó Judas por transgresión, para que él vaya a su casa. 26 Y dieron sus lotes; y la suerte cayó sobre Matías; y fue contado con los once apóstoles.
