ITS OFFICIAL! We have a new distribution team for the states of WA and OR. We are extremely excited about this new venture and partnership and look forward to growing the Sleight of Hand AND Renegade Wine Co. brands in both states. It is my great pleasure to announce that Young’s Market Company and The Estates Group have been given the exclusive distribution rights to Sleight of Hand Cellars and the Renegade Wine Co. from Walla Walla for both Washington and Oregon. Sleight of Hand Cellars was launched in 2007 by Winemaker/Partner Trey Busch (formerly of Basel Cellars and Dunham Cellars of Walla Walla) and his partners Sandy and Jerry Solomon. In a very short amount of time, the winery garnered the attention of both consumers and the press with their dedication and commitment to producing the highest quality wines from Washington State. Within the first year of existence they were named by Seattle Magazine as Washington States next “cult winery”, and their wines, with fun and fanciful names such as “The Archimage” and “The Illusionist”, began racking up terrific scores from the Wine Spectator, the Wine Advocate, and the Wine Enthusiast, amongst others. With an ever growing wine club and customer base, the winery has become a standard bearer for Washington State wines because of their commitment to quality. Sleight of Hand Cellars is sourcing fruit from some of the best vineyards in Washington State, such as Phinny Hill, Lewis, Evergreen, French Creek, Blue Mountain Vineyard, Red Mountain Vineyard, Les Collines, and Stoney Vines. While the Sleight of Hand brand dedicated its efforts into producing world class wines, the Renegade Wine Co. was a project with a different goal: To offer consumers wines that provide the greatest value you can get for your money from Washington State. What began as a small project has quickly grown into a brand to be reckoned with. With 3 different SKU’s as the driving force behind the Renegade wines (stainless steel Chardonnay, Rose’, and Red Blend), the Renegade Wine Co. is producing 10,000 cases of value and quality driven wines with growth in mind. The Seattle press quickly realized the quality/value ratio these wines provide, and in the Western WA market, it has a tremendous presence in both on and off premise accounts. “When Jerry and I started Sleight of Hand Cellars, we had a very simple plan: Make world class wines, and have fun while doing it! The wine industry is such a fun and rewarding business to be involved in, and we never could have expected the growth that our winery has seen over the past 7 years.
