ITS WHATS FOR EARLY DINNER.... My Husband has been wanting SEAFOOD GUMBO ....I have been putting it off, wait until colder weather ... well last evening he kept asking me how I did this and that towards making my Gumbo... when I gave him answers, I suggested he watch me next time,( afterall no one is here forever and ever and then longer )... He said, well if you wont make it now, guess I will have to give it a try .. . Folks, I am here to tell you, Seafood and Gumbo makings just aint cheap... so the lady of this poor house decided its cold enough...specially if the A/C is going full blast, ..not to mention who does the KP around this place .lol So after the 2nd. Mug of SWAMP MUD this morning, I commence upon making rue......that is in the 1st. picture ..after its been cooking about 4 hours.... then after it cooks another hour or so, Im adding a bit of this, a dab of that, and who measures (I seldom do ) of that other stuff ... AFTER I had added the CHOPPED ONIONS and CELERY in picture 2.. that is under the lid, along with a small bag of Chop OKRA that I had put up in the freezer a couple of weeks ago.. Then of course after the veggies are semi-soft, I added the SHRIMP, peeled and devined... let it cook about 10 minutes, then added LUMP CRAB MEAT, as well as CRAB CLAW meat, and those UCKY OYSTERS....... let the oysters curl and its ready.. and I spooned this over Cooked RICE.. I served him as you see in picture 3... with GARLIC/BUTTER FRENCH BREAD ... Then I sauteed some large shrimp in garlic and butter , he will have those cold with sliced avocado fresh tomatoes and crackers for whenever tonight.. So today, I have spent COOKING for the most part.. soon as I get the KP done, Im outta that room until SWAMP MUD TIME TOMORROW !!!!!!
