ITS Wrong To Call Boko Haram Muslims Sheikh Tahiru Usman Bauchi,Sheikh, reknowned Islamic scholar based in Kaduna Nigeria, has said that it was wrong to call the Boko Haram sect an Islamic jihadist sect, because activities of the members are contrary to the laid down Islamic teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith. Sheikh Tahiru Bauchi spoke when he hosted pastors and human rights activities to break of fast at his Kaduna residence, saying the five pillars of Islam were clear and nobody could add or subtract from it. According to him, the procedure of Jihad was clearly identified in the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W) Today, we have learnt that some people came out and say that they are fighting because of Allah and in the same vein, they are destroying people who are also following the same Allah and we as Muslims know the consequence of killing fellow Muslims, If you are killing Muslims because you want them to be converted to Islam or you want to establish an Islamic state, what religion did you want them to convert to? Or is there any other religion different from that established by the Prophet of Allah? In my 76 years of learning and teaching Islam, I must confess that what I am seeing today is rather strange to me. New ideologies are being injected into our religion and very painfully we did not question such ideology until they have become a menace to the society”. Sheikh Bauchi said. He, therefore, called on people in high authority to create more jobs, reduce corruption and be just to everybody and that is the solution to the Boko Haram insurgency. According to him:“the gap between Christians and Muslims is minor because they both Ibrahim faithfuls and there is no need to take arms against each other.” Responding, a human rights activist, Barrister Solomon Dalong said Sheikh Bauchi has been a role model and a unifying force in Nigeria. He called on Christian and Islamic preachers to follow the path of Dahiru Bauchi. Those that know Abubakar Shekau The leader of Boko haram should tell him that he has done more harm that good to my Islam and Almighty Allah will destroy him and his sponsors (be it Muslim, Christian, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo or any other tribe). You have misinterpreted the word JIHAD. Even in a situation where one is fighting a legitimate jihad, Women, children, aged, unhealthy and sick people must be spared even if they are your enemy (Almighty Allah says in the Quran). Shekau is the reason why Muslims/ Christians and Hausa/ Igbo accentuate their tribal hatred for one another on social network. It is only on Nigeria news page that you would see such. Weve forgotten the issue of corruption, unemployment, environmental degradation, bad roads, inadequate electricity supply e.t.c. Both PDP and APC are looting taxpayers money at the expense of the poverty-ridden and impoverished masses. It is the same Muslims and Christians that constitute those parties. Both pastors and Alfas are duping the unenlightened people all in the name of evangelism and miracle crusade when it is obvious that 80% of them belong to one occult group or the other.
