IT’S TIME FOR US TO GROW AND SAVE MORE ANIMALS LIKE THIS ONE! Alaqua Animal Refuge has placed over 10,000 animals in loving homes since its inception in 2007. We have grown to become a recognized leader in animal welfare and animal cruelty prevention and we are ready to DO EVEN MORE! Our capitol campaign will fund our relocation to our permanent home on 85 acres of land in Freeport, Fla. The new and improved facility will continue our important rescue and rehabilitation work, but will also focus on animal welfare education and training opportunities. Our capital campaign grant will match dollar-for-dollar every gift we receive through December 31, 2014, up to a total of $500,000. If we can raise the full $500,000, well have $1 million to help animals in need and host educational exhibits and tours at our new facility. To date we have raised $400,000 of the $500,000 we need.
