IZW Adrenaline February 15 Review on GFL.tv by Drew Archer The February 15 episode of “IZW Adrenaline” cemented all of the matches for “Coronation: A Decade of Impact” on March 15 as the night saw two former allies now turned bitter enemies battle for the final spot in the Impact Chamber Match. Co-Commissioner “The Number 1” Shawn McHale also let it be known that the Impact Division Match at “Coronation” would be a Dog Collar Match, while the Queen’s Crown Match would be a Pole Match to go along with the already announced TLC IZW Tag Team Title Match and aforementioned Impact Chamber main event where the IZW Title would be at stake! To kick the night off in the ring, IZW Tag Team Champion “Larger Than Life” Jermaine Johnson (@JermaineAboutME) took on The Bronze Bull (@BronzeBull_AN) in singles action. Bull knocked Johnson out of the ring several times and was stronger in the lock up nearly every time. Bull also landed a stalled out suplex as he kept Johnson in the air for nearly 10 seconds before planting him on the canvas. Johnson returned fire with a Russian leg sweep from the second rope in an innovative move. After fighting out of a sleeper hold, Bull locked on the same hold on Johnson as each man displayed their submission arsenal. Johnson broke free by dropping to his bottom and smashing his head into Bull’s jaw. But a spinebuster by Bull changed the momentum again. Johnson countered a Greetings From Mt. Olympus with a facebuster but Bull raised the ante and hit a Greetings from the second rope moments later! The count was just a formality at this point as Bull hooked a leg and got the pinfall. “The Old School Sucka” Randy Price (@RandyPrice_OSS) gloated in the ring about being in the Impact Chamber Match and then went on another diatribe at the expense of “Bad” Brad Michaels (@OldSchool_Brad) until Co-Commissioner McHale interrupted Price’s tirade. McHale let Price know he had been fired as the eyes and ears of IZW co-owner Jeff Wolfenbarger and McHale also dropped another bombshell and let Price and the IZW World know that Michaels would be entered into the Impact Chamber Match on March 15! Michaels came out on stage to the cheers of the crowd and Price looked like he had seen a ghost. McHale still wasn’t done with making news, as he added a singles match between Price and Michaels for later in the night. Up next, for the final spot in the 10-man Impact Chamber Match at “Coronation”, The Midnite Rider faced his onetime tag team partner Soto Miyagi. Miyagi won in record time as he leaped up to Rider’s shoulders and connected with a modified hurricanrana buster as Miyagi threw Rider down face first then covered him for the 1-2-3 in stunning fashion and punched his ticket to the main event at “Coronation”. The match went all of five seconds and Miyagi caught everyone by surprise with the move, especially Rider who was beside himself afterwards. O’Malley (@IZWHateMachine) squared off with “The Forgotten Champion” Copycat (@CopycatWrestler) next. Copycat attempted to isolate O’Malley’s left arm with a hammerlock but O’Malley’s sheer size and strength was enough to offset Copy’s technical advantage. Copycat continued to attack the arm of O’Malley, first by getting O’Malley off his feet with a drop toe hold, then going for an armbar on the mat. A rope break by O’Malley followed by pure caveman like tactics had O’Malley on the upswing. But once again, it was Copycat’s submissions that came into play as he locked on another armbar. O’Malley was close to tapping out, but instead he bit Copycat in the leg! Copycat broke the hold and then O’Malley splashed Copycat in the corner adding insult to injury. Copy responded with some Muay Thai knees from the clinch, but O’Malley was in beast mode himself and just rag dolled Copycat with a clothesline. Copycat hit a huge drop kick that put O’Malley on his back and made O’Malley drop his brass knuckles that he recently brandished. Unfortunately for Copycat, O’Malley had a second pair of brass knuckles and destroyed Copycat with them, then hit a senton in the center of the ring and got the 1-2-3. Copycat’s submission game has come a long way in 2014, but on this night, it wasn’t enough to overcome the raw power and underhanded tactics of O’Malley. Up next, Tommy Revell was announced as the second inductee into the first ever class of the IZW Hall of Impact. Revell joins “Mr. Saturday Night” Michael Barry in the inaugural class and will be inducted on March 15 at “Coronation” in a special ceremony. In more action, “The Old School Sucka” Randy Price and “Bad” Brad Michaels had their much anticipated match that was booked earlier in the night. Price and Michaels picked up their feud right where they left off in 2013 as the hatred from both men was readily apparent. Michaels was the aggressor in the early going, and Price ducked for cover outside of the ring several times to avoid contact. Price’s game plan worked as Michaels was overly aggressive in the beginning and Price used that anger to his advantage as he systematically broke Michaels down will well placed strikes while also bending the rules a bit and using the ropes to choke some of the will out of Michaels. Michaels missed with a superkick as Price caught the kick and sent Michaels down on his backside. It was old school versus old school. Michaels recovered at one point hitting a hip toss and drop kick, but Price resumed his dominance by bullying Michaels in the corner and choking him. Price grounded Michaels with a nice takedown and applied a rear chin lock that almost put Michaels to sleep, but Michaels caught his second wind. Michaels hit a deep arm drag, swinging neck breaker and knee to the head and Price was down. Michaels missed a second superkick attempt and Price delivered a back suplex next. Michaels defended a piledriver attempt from Price and finally hit a superkick out of nowhere that dropped Price like a ton of bricks getting the pinfall in this continuing blood feud. “The Brass Bull” Bobby Starr (@thegods_bs) tangled with “Lights Out” Jordan Jacobs (@JacobsLightsOut) next. Starr used his thick melon to head butt Jacobs several times. Jacobs responded with a flying double knees in the corner and a running drop kick to the face of Starr, showing off his unmatched athleticism. Starr displayed his strength advantage by giving Jacobs a release power bomb in the corner as Jacobs’ body ricocheted off the turnbuckles. Later, Starr got hung up on the top rope looking to execute a high risk maneuver and Jacobs made him pay by climbing to the top rope himself and stomping on the unprotected chest of Starr. Starr was resurrected by the power of the gods as he connected with a spinebuster, Boston crab submission and finally ended the match with a Greetings From Mt. Olympus in a series of moves that was too much to overcome for Jacobs. In the main event, IZW Champion “The Natural Born Leader & Savior of Wrestling” Johnny Z (@NBL_JohnnyZ) & “The Image of Fear” Kevin Morgan (@TheImageofFear) battled “The Captain of the Force” Double D (@IZWDoubleD) & “Big Business” Damon Windsor (@DamonWindsor) in tag team action. Just as the match was getting started, WWSB (Johnson & Jacobs) attacked D and Windsor from behind. This prompted Team Bull (Bronze Bull & Starr) to offset the unfair odds as now eight men where in the ring brawling! McHale made an 8-man tag team match on the spot which only drew the ire of Impact Elite. Bull and Morgan went at it first and it was as hard hitting as any pro wrestling scrap you will see. D chimed in with elbows on Morgan until a clothesline from hell sent him spiraling down. Jacobs and Windsor squared off next with Windsor dishing out his punishing back elbows in the corner. Windsor missed with a jumping leg drop giving Johnson an opportunity to tag in. Windsor was unfazed and hit a side slam then tagged in Starr who reigned down punches in the corner on Johnson. A splash in the corner by Bull had Johnson in desperate need of a tag. D dished out more punishment until Johnson flipped D head over heels with a modified facebuster then tagged in Johnny Z. Z and D traded kicks with Double D getting the better of the exchanges as he was able to drop Z with an enziguri. Bull tagged in hitting a discus punch and spinebuster but had his pin broken up by Johnson. D added more misery to Z’s day with knees in the corner, but Z halted D’s attack with one Big Boot to the face. D was then worked over in the corner of Impact Elite. Finally, Double D was able to break the iron grip of Impact Elite with a tornado DDT on Johnson and tagged in Windsor. Windsor cleaned house by giving all of IE back drops. More chaos ensued as everyone continued to brawl leaving only Windsor and Z, the two legal men, in the ring. Windsor added a black hole slam and attempted a choke slam that Johnny Z avoided by rolling out of the ring. Z was thrown back into the ring by Brad Michaels who returned to the ring, setting up a picture perfect choke slam by Windsor for the pinfall! After the match, Team Bull threw What Wrestling Should Be back into the ring where they grabbed a pair of chairs looking to crush in the skulls of the IZW Tag Team Champions. But after two well-placed low blows by WWSB, they turned the tables and beat the living hell out of Team Bull with the chairs. This was a violent precursor of wait awaits both WWSB and Team Bull on March 15 when they face each other with the IZW Tag Titles on the line in a TLC Match!
