Iam grateful. Iam blessed. For the people who actually read my posts and in some sense have been personally reflective, touched or even pissed off at the things I say, I must briefly and privately, at the same time, explain a current personal situation, that I struggle w/ in many ways.. Entirely out if my influence, direction and to some extent control.. MANY of you dont know, I have a son.. I have not seen him, a picture him_ I have not heard his voice, received a letter, text or any correspondence in almost three years.. He turned 18 in May. We have been in limited contact over the last 7 months.. You may have noticed, Ive been moody.? ha Yet, the fact remains to this day.. No picture. No phone call.? Imagine. If for a moment.? Someone, your blood.. Whom you would sacrifice your last breath- Still keeping you at arms length..? A true test of love and patience, believe me.. Without ego, I can say, I bare a heavy cross.. I digress..- My point is this_ We all experience joy, love, happiness, sorrow and pain in a spectrum of personal ideas.. Misunderstood by many. We all here words spoken by others, but do we listen to those words.? Identify w/ people in a sense of sharing emotions of similar experiences.? When we listen we relate to people. Understand them. To hear something is unfortunately a reaction. A conditioned response.. The last four weeks have been tying in all facets. Mentally, emotionally, and physically.. Through trials and set backs, what really matters most.. When you step back from the chaos When you slow your mind. When you can see minutes pass like hours.. You understand what is ultimately important- For life.? Family, true friends, respect, compassion, caring, giving of yourself.. Your time.? At least we can try... I spent time last night w/ some truly loved and missed friends..! (You know who you are.) A personal talk this morning w/ my brother, Curt- New lady friends.!! :D Iam grateful. Iam blessed... Two very wise, respected and respectful men have said.. Hearing only what you want to hear Leaves you knowing only what youve heard. -J.H.
