Ian Macleod with Josephy Chamberlain, saw the wind of change in the British colonies and had a plan to quickly decolonize and remain relevant. He ordered the release of Kamuzu from Gwelo prison in April 1960. He was foresighted and wise to see the wind of change from a distance. This a wind of change for decolonization. In 1990 s another wind of change started blowing over Africa for multiparty system of government. Most African leaders never saw the wind of change and were forced by change to change. This wind of change was for the stop of dictatorship rule. Today another wind of change is blowing, it is a cry to stop corruption and economically liberate the Africans who are now colonized by corruption. It took 70 years for decolonization wind of change to blow in Malawi after British rule, it took 31 years of single party rule and it has taken 20 years under corruption rule. Definitely this next elections is a year of change to sober ness gresham.ac.uk/lectures-and-events/iain-macleod-and-decolonisation
