Ibrahim Shemas Apotheosis: What is this distrubing news coming out of Katsina that I am hearing with my two ears? That a student of the National Open University of Nigeria has been languishing in detention for the past 20 days without trial or being charged to court? What was the heinous offence he committed? I am told that he criticised the latest jegudujera Aboki Governor to pounce on the Yar Aduas estate where he poacheded the youngest member of the female clan. In case you dont understand, recently the youngest daughter of late President Umoru Yar Adua who is still in her teens was gifted to Ibrahim Shema as second wife. I am amazed that the jegudujera Gomina, was a Barrister of international repute before his transformation into a Polithieftian! Step forward Aboki Ibrahim Shema, the Executhief Governor of Katsina for ossussu baptism! So in the US of A where you studied and practice as a Lawyer before joining the lootcrative business of Naija politics and buying your way to the government House in Katsina, the punishment for criticising a twerp in government is to use the institution of state to have him arrested and detained for weeks without trial by fiat from the office of the Governor? Country pipu shebi you can all see what marrying a teenager can do to a man on the wrong side of 50? This same Shema it was reported in the news, built over 30 mosques using federal allocation from Abuja across all the Local council in Katsina state and did not deam it fit to even build one church. Perhaps he forgot that Nigeria is a secular state! Anyway dont even bother to ask for the cost of constructing those mosques because it will qualify for looting in the name of building a place of worship for Allah. Without mincing words, I condemn the resort to the mediaval times in seeking redress by Ibrahim Shema. Pray, how can you just wake up on the wrong side of your bed and order your police orderly to arrest and detain a student for criticising you on Facebook because you are the Governor? If youre the Governor of Katsina state, and so what! I know some of my close friends who have close family ties with Governor Ibrahim Shema. His marriage to the teenage Yar Aduas daughter was one of the topic of our discussion during a recent meeting. If you are reading this, and I know you read me, make haste and call whoever you can call to tell Shema to release the student who he abducted and caused to be locked up in prison for no just reason before the entire social media community descend on him! A word is enough for the wise.....
