Iceland Videntifier Technologies IT Internship - Front End Developer Job Description: -We seek hardcore software developers competent in C#/C++ and Go. You will take part in developing the front-end of the INTERPOL ICSE DB application using our industry standard visual fingerprint technology and work on both the server and frontend side. -You need to have good experience in C# and web programming (HTML5 / JavaScript) and have experience with content management systems such as Git. -Being familiar with the Linux OS is an advantage for taking this position. -You will be assisting our core-developer in the front-end development, diagnosing and fixing problems in the operation and help in the packaging and deployment of the system. -In the second half of your internship we would engage you in building a monitoring system for our database system, monitoring insertion and query loads on the system. -This will help our database developers and finally also users to gain a better understanding on the database performance. Results expected: - Ability to work in an international team and taking part in the successful deployment of the ICSE system at INTERPOL in the second half of 2014. - Review code written in C#, understand its functionality and add new functionality as defined by the specifications. - Integrate new components within the ICSE system under the guidance of a senior developer. - Understand and assist in the deployment process. - Getting familiar with the fingerprint database system, gain understanding in measuring query and insert load.
