Id like to announce to those on this page that are associated or have been associated with the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps that Im going to commence the process to commission a U.S.N.S.C.C. / U.S.N.L.C. unit. For those unaware, I come from a great military lineage starting with my grandfathers volunteer service in the United States Marine Corps. His name was TSgt. Robert Sydney Kennemore who placed himself on a grenade and absorbed the full force of the blast, protecting his fellow Marines. This act of self sacrifice would earn him the Congressional Medal of Honor and a place in history as a member of a Chosin Frozen. Its my mission to commission a unit in his honor, however my relationship with the last remaining members of the family have been strained for a number of years. One of my Uncles is in possession of my grandfathers C.M.o.H. collecting dust, where Id like to use it as the centerpiece for all to view and ultimately honor his service. Id like to respectfully request your assistance in providing correspondence of your support in showing the last two surviving sons of my grandfather that theres a sincere vested interest in bringing this dream to life. They too also served in the U.S.M C. like their father before them. I thank you foe your time and ask that you please help me to spread this message. God bless one and all.
