Id like to ask the experts for an opinion. I have an 87 951 that I just put a new clutch in and I now hear and feel a fair amount of drive train lash and noise that comes from the area around the shifter, when inside. Under load the noise is slightly less but constant and there is a slapping when you come off the gas. If I had not replaced the clutch, and it is done correctly, I would think it was the clutch. The noise and sound was there before I though it was part of the clutch problem that you could easily feel in the peddle.
