Id like to give a shout-out to Chicago DJ/Producer Andre Harris (r.i.p), who we tragically lost this past summer. Many of us found out about it just a few hours before the beginning of the Frankie Knuckles tribute event on Tuesday June 3rd. I remember talking to him about production and he told me that he used only external hardware in his productions ... a drum machine, keyboards, and outboard gear. He told me that many of his tracks and remixes were done very quickly, sometimes within a day. Andre may have moved on to new adventures in the great beyond, but thankfully we still have his great music to remember him by... check this track out.
