Id like to make a few things clear, since I seem to be misunderstood in my parenting. You may agree, you may not agree and thats ok were all in entitled to our own opinions:) 1. Say Goodmorning, and goodnight everyday. We may never see each other again. 2. If you want to do something ie. get your ears pierced, and youre a boy thats ok! After all, they can always be taken out. 3. Yes Im hard on him, only because I want the very best for him( as Im sure every parent does for their child). 4. If you want that princess backpack, thats what you will get. After all, youre the one who has to wear it, and why would I want you wearing something that doesnt make you happy? Ps. He chose Ninja Turtles, but the point is if he wanted Disney Princess I will support that. 5. Learn to pick up after yourself, itll get you further in life( I was horrible at it lol) 6. Youre not too young to do dishes, you are however much to young to be washing steak knoves( in my opinion). Age appropriate chores:) 7. Be kind and be a friend 8. You can be whatever you want to be in this world. If you LOVE working at Mcdonalds, do it. Just always do it to the very best of your ability. 9. Learn how to be independent outside of the house, youre not always going to have your mom to be there. 10. I use constructive criticism on a daily basis, why? Not to hurt his feelings, but to let him know hes not always going to be the best at everything. If I shelter and constantly tell him what a great job ( even when its not) hows he going to feel when his teacher, coach or boss tell him what hes done was not great. 11. You cant just live on candy, itll catch up to you. 12. You need something? Clothes, shelter, food... Itll always be here, you want something? Get a JOB. An 11 year old does not need an iPhone. 13. You can be anything you want to be, gay, straight, transgender. The minute I hear about you bullying anyone for any reason THATS WHEN WE WILL HAVE A PROBLEM.
