Id like to personally thank all the fine young Canadian songwriters who submitted their finest (to date) original song to the Barrie Folk Societys 2014 Youth Songwriters Showcase challenge. The Showcase itself will feature ten finalists in concert 1:00-5:00pm on May 3, 2014 at Northwest Barrie United Church in Barrie. Thanks to this years sponsors : The Gryphon Guild, Stellula Music in the Schools, BarrieFolk, the Orillia Folk Society and Ironside Electric Co. for some tangible rewards for a talented and courageous bunch of musicians!
