Id like to propose a little exercise in trying to understand each other a bit better, although I am not sure this will work, and it may go horribly wrong, but lets give it a shot anyway. In this thread, I would like for you to assume the opposite position of what you actually are, and give it your best shot to argue the other sides point of view. Not by deliberately making bad arguments, but by making arguments that youd find worth considering or debating. Topic: I need faith, because... (atheists, answer from what youd assume to be a theists view) I dont need faith, because... (theists, answer from what youd assume to be an atheists view) Please, no flame wars or derogatory comments. If this goes as I think it might, it may give us a bit of an insight of how we are perceived by the other side, so that once weve collected a few responses, we can clear up some of the wrong perceptions we have of each other.
