Id like to say something to all my Christian friends, many who are regarded as my own family. I understand this is a very sensitive time with what is happening in Iraq at the moment. Believe me, it is just as upsetting for me as it is for everyone else. ISIS are targeting ALL that oppose them, and are even more brutal towards Muslims who dont share their views as they cant be converted to their version of Islam and are a lost cause according to their sick minds. It hurt me when I read Mosul is empty of Christians. What makes Iraq different is the fact it is so diverse, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, Mandeans, Armenians and the list goes on. Being Muslim myself I dont know ANYONE who actually supports ISIS. Im sure you all have Muslim friends on your friends lists, out of those Id like to see how many support ISIS, if any. The point Im trying to make is it is a very small minority. Either way my heart goes out to those who suffered and are still suffering in Iraq. No innocent man, woman or child should suffer, regardless of their faith or ethnicity. I have seen a lot in recent months which are both offensive and uncalled for, and as time goes by its starting to look more like a witch hunt. I have never posted an article, picture or a video which generalizes or offends an entire religion. All I ask is that you do the same. It is not fair to generalize and judge 1 billion people based on the actions of a small minority in a lawless region. While its easier to call for division based on religion when times are dark, I think it would be much more satisfying to call for unity as human beings, because without humanity we have no religion.
