Id like to see all NATO members take him at his word and put tripwire troops* in each of the countries he just threatened. If the Baltics had 100 troops each from countries from Canada and US to Italy to Turkey, thatd send a good message I think. *enough troops that onlookers assume that, were they to be killed, that country would seem to have skin in the game and fight back for that reason, not merely for sake of a treaty obligation that could be theoretically neglected.
