Id like to start by thanking someone who went to my childs football game this morning in Vidor and made an assumption that has devastated my family and caused embarrassment for not only me but to the football league. My son was injured on Thursday week before last by a helmet doing tackle drills and 2 of the coaches were aware AND SAW this happen and brought it to my attention where I drove him directly to st. Elizabeth minor care for them to tell me, thankfully, it was only deep bruising. This person saw his arm today at the game and called Lumberton police department accusing my husband and I of beating him and that my home needs to be looked in to. Thank you you nosey person having nothing better to do but making assumptions that DID NOT occur. What were you trying to accomplish? Congratulations, we were cleared by it being ruled as a football injury. This is what happens when you play a CONTACT SPORT. Furthermore, parents be aware that there is someone out there that has nothing better to do than stir up trouble. I do not know this person but Im a true believer that the God I serve will see this through. It is crazy that a bruise caused by playing a contact sport and a person with no life just made my child not want to play anymore because he doesnt want his parents to get in trouble. this is devastating. Congratulations to whoever you are.
