Id like to start this post by stating just how awesome I am... now... enough about me, and to the story... about me... So I was performing my night prayer (1 of the 5 daily prayers we do) when our home phone rang... very odd to ring at 9.30ish pm. My wife answered, it was a guy from Windows warning about hackers compromising something or rather and some strange signals being sent from our connection... so my wife accused them of being scammers to which they insisted they werent and once I finished my prayers she passed the phone on to me. He asked me to switch the computer on, I said okay... I didnt switch it on. I told him it was flat, then told him I had to look for my charger... I just sat there and left him on hold... then he asked if I was ready, nope... still looking for charger... Anyway after a couple of minutes and me telling him that our computer has actually been very slow lately and how maybe he was right about the hacking... he said excitedly, Yes! Thats what happens when the hackers get to your computer it goes very slow. So I told him we dont use it much, he said they are the most vulnerable types of usage. Checking emails, etc. I said, You know what? I noticed it really played up after downloading a facebook game! To which he agreed causes major troubles because of the social media blah blah (some explanation he gave) to which I interrupted with, omg because my profile is pretty public and I get random people liking my posts and when I message them they never respond. They must be the hackers! Anyway, he continued with his diagnostics, brought up the cmd prompt to which I played dumb about, then enter assoc.... then he got me to scroll to the bottom and read out a 32 alpha/numeric combo really slowly... I told him it was wrong (even though it wasnt haha), I told him it said something else then he told me Im reading the wrong line. Ohhhh oops! Sorry go again. So he read it again and I said it was wrong again. Then he tried a different combo and I told him it was wrong again... He stopped... then asked, Are you joking with me? Yes. Why would you do that sir? Its late and Im trying to help you... etc. Because you forgot the dashes in the number. The dashes dont matter, okay Ill read it with the dashes... and he did... So I paused... I pretended to cry and become emotional and ask why the hackers would do such a thing?! I have my kids photos on the computer and its not fair etc. And kept sobbing. To which he seemed to believe me... then I started asking shouldnt the government be stopping these people? Shouldnt they do something about these hackers?! Then he stopped trying to be understanding... And he said... Oooookay you are joking with me. I have to hand it to you you are a great joker, you have wasted my time etc. and he kind of chuckled but in a not so happy way. Then he hung up. WINNING!!!!!!! 21 Minutes and 50 seconds!
