Id like to tell a short story. When I was pregnant with my Scotty the drs told me he would be born with downs syndrome. Lots of people pushed for me to abort him. I never once prayed about it, I trusted that God had a perfect plan and he did, My baby was born healthy. When he grew older he developed 2 childhood diseases. One an auto-immune disease that crippled him at age 3 and one a harrowing eye disease that I fought for the larger part of his life. Between myself, his little brother who practically lived in hospitals and dr offices alongside him, and my trust in God, we fought that disease until it went into remission! He is legally blind in one eye but he can see, &work,& drive, and his scarred eyeballs are a constant reminder to me that God has found favor with my son from the time he was conceived. Tonight he is in Richmond Va at the MEPS center waiting for his physical exam. He will either come home tomorrow sworn in as a Marine, or he will come home with a shattered dream. I am not praying, I am not crossing fingers, I am TRUSTING that God has a good & perfect plan for my son.
