Id like to thank Kevin, Suhas, and in particular KG for challenging me to do this, despite some reluctance on my part. I have some very strong feelings about these types of campaigns so Id like to quickly say that while this is a fun and effective tool for creating awareness and crowdfunding, it really begins to devalue the experiences of those who have actually been affected by ALS if we dont focus on its true goals and respond appropriately. I was able to make a donation, and while not everyone is able to do this, the least we can do is make ourselves and our friends aware of this disease and its very real impact on people every day.
