Id like to thank my good friend Nick Williams, whos far more politically active than I, for looking into the whole deal regarding whether those in support of #Yeson1 should vote in the Governors race. Heres his findings: There appears to be a slight difference between what the Tennessee Constitution says and what the state attorney general tells the voting commissions to do. My post is constitutionally correct, but Nathans link accurately reflects the state attorney generals instructions to the voting commissions. The link in question is this one: truthon1.org/ Nick further points out, Amendment 1 is so controversial, if it passes by a small margin under the the attorney generals rules but wouldnt have under the stricter interpretation of the State Constitution, someone will undoubtedly challenge it in court, and itll likely go to the State Supreme Court. The SC has never taken up this question before.
