Id like to think Im a pretty good dad but admittedly I dont know everything. So when I took Big Digs shopping for new pants yesterday I was a little in the dark about sizes that would fit him. I noticed this lady who was also shopping in the awkward stage of growth in life department where it would be easier to explain the Pythagorean Theorem than decipher the appropriate size for your child so that he doesnt look like he just mugged a colony of dwarves from Lord of the Rings, So I asked her for some help and she went into superhero mode! There were pants flying through the air like a scene from the matrix. He was trying pants on in the change room and she came flying up, found some more!!. Turns out this lovely lady has 6 boys so she completely understood my confusion/frustration. We successfully found 2 great pairs of jeans, all thanks to this amazing mom who went out of her way to help a struggling dad. Like an idiot, I totally forgot to get her name but I thanked her profusely AND as luck would have it, I had the opportunity to pay it forward about 10 mins later.....I know its only pants...but her help meant a lot to me, so thank you Mystery Mom for making my day awesome.
