Id like you all to meet Joe. Hes estimated to be about ten years old, and has been extremely neglected. The hair loss is from a severe flea infestation, as well as bacterial and yeast infections. He has an eye infection, and an ear infection, and numerous skin tags, and bumps, which the Dr. Freji thinks are from chronic, untreated skin inflammation. Hes got some cracked teeth, and he needs to gain some weight, but hes happy. His tail doesnt stop wagging when you talk to him, and even during his exam, and having his temperature taken, all he tried to do was lick us. He was found as a stray by Tulsa Animal Welfare, and nobody came for him. My mom and I saw him while passing out treats earlier in the week, and when I saw my mom crying in the middle of the shelter I knew Joe wasnt going to stay there. Hes staying at the vets right now, while he gets a case of kennel cough cleared up, and then hell crash at here for a while. Losing Platty is still so raw, so were not looking for a permanent family member (though he has a place here as long as he needs) and were fostering through TAW at the moment. He is of course being treated for all his conditions, and hes loving discovering treats, and finding the comfiest places to lay. ALSO he needs a new name for a new life and suggestions are appreciated.
