Id love to see all the birds tanking up on the smorgasbord of items weve put put for them, in advance of the pending storm. Sadly, there is a mass tree murder going on next door. Three huge oaks are being massacred and chopped up for sport. The genius at Arundel Tree Service had the gall to tell the owner and me that the third tree, not initially slated for destruction, was dead. When I pointed out that it had leafed out entirely, this troglodyte replied that a tree could leaf out one year and then be dead in the winter. As proof, he pointed skyward and proclaimed there were no buds on it. Little did he know that bins and a scope would soon be trained on it. It was chock full of buds. I am a master gardener, I should be able to tell when buds are on a tree. My hubby and I are in mourning. If you dont appreciate large, mature trees in a wooded neighborhood, DONT MOVE HERE. Sorry, I had to vent to a receptive community.
