Idea Ive been pondering... Kickstart the Zimmer defense by giving him the best defenders available in both RD1 and RD2, then send one of our 3rds to New England for Ryan Mallett. - Mallett had top-10 talent in the Ponder draft and fell due to character concerns and unsubstantiated drug rumors. We havent heard about any of that stuff in three years. - This offense is ready now, and Mallett is more pro ready than any of the guys coming out. - Id rather spend a 3rd round pick on a blue chip arm whos spent two seasons under Brady/Belichick than the No. 8 overall pick on the third or fourth best QB in a draft that lacks any semblance of QB consensus. - Malletts best trait is elite arm strength, making him a perfect fit for Norvs vertical approach.
