Ideally, a Womans Circle, Gathering or Red Tent serves as a training ground in which every women develops her own personal power. The support and safety provided by the group reinforce her self-esteem and sense of self-worth. The psychic training opens new perceptions and abilities, and the interaction with the group becomes an ever-present mirror on which we can see ourselves. The aim of a Womans Circle or Red Tent is not to finish off the leaders, but to prepare each woman to become a leader, a Priestess. The power over others that comes with being a leader is correctly perceived as oppressive but more often than not the collective ideal is used wrongly to destroy the strong members of the group instead of having them strengthen the weaker members of the group. The concept of inner power fosters a healthy self-pride, not humble anonymity; the joy for your own strength, not shame or guilt. In a Womans Circle authority means responsibility. In practice, if the group develops fully for the highest good of each member, leadership is passed from one woman of the group to another. Join us!
