Ideas for this reader whose children (and herself) have a history - TopicsExpress

Ideas for this reader whose children (and herself) have a history of repeated chronic ear infections and tubes? My 2 cents below, but please share your own experience in the comments. My children (ages 13mo, 4.5 & 8) are plagued with ear infections. The older two have had two rounds of tubes in and now that they have grown out, are getting infections again. As a child I also had two rounds of tubes and constant ear infections. Im wondering if genetics is at play or maybe food intolerances or allergies? The older two also struggle with focus at school and have sleep trouble regularly also. We eat a whole food based diet with an emphasis on protein and produce. We avoid food colorings and try to eat organic and local as much as possible. Ideas? My response: Yes, I have heard of those ear issues stemming from allergies, and I have also read in Gut and Psychology Syndrome about using probiotics to help re-establish healthy flora in the throat and ears for ear infections. Here is a summary from another blog on the information in that chapter: oliviasrecovery.blogspot/2012/03/ear-infections-antibiotics-road-to.html And heres a link to the book if youd like to explore that further: amzn.to/1ns09de
