If 2014 was a summary of my life- then 20i4 would spell one thing: FAILURE in big capital letters. I took for granted that LIFE is about connecting with Sons and Daughters of the soil; King and Queens of our land- neighbours and acquaintances of my play grounds, friends and colleagues, siblings and companions of my lifetime. I hate to accept this cold unpopular reality: LIFE IS NOT ABOUT ME- BUT ABOUT YOU. Im not and never been the starring- I am definitely not the main actor of LIFE. Finally now I understand everyone else is a starring except me -and im happy to accept that- Im happy precisely because I lived all my life living on delusion that im the sun and everything revolves around me- And that has proven to be a horrific empty dream... This mind-set produced very chronic habits- among which; I paid very little attention to my phone battery maintenance- nor did I made returning peoples calls a crucial priority. I failed completely to invite old and new friends for breakfast, dinner etc... never threw any party not even a social gathering- Did not even attend even a single social, business nor political event... All I did was to forgot names and sometimes faces of my childhood, school and university colleagues- Purely because I paid very little attention to peoples names, birthdays, achievements, feelings, needs and dreams... At least now I know how I screw 20i4- that means I stand good chances of improving 20i5. With or without popular approval:- I declare 20i5 a year of serving people. 20i5 is about people I met in my childhood, schools, universities, social gatherings, business circles, political circles and street corners of our dusty townships... I will pay attention less to principles, ideals, ambitions and bottom-lines- but more attention to people, happiness, connecting and serving you. And for all that I expect nothing in return other than hoping you will not take over my mistakes of being drawn into trying to be A HERO, STAR, SUPERMAN etc... Thats all. With that said and done- I truly and whole heartedly wish you an awesome and victorious new year... You are one amazing beautiful soul- and nothing can ever take your value away- and you deserve the best of 2015. I wish my dearest daughter Lukanyiso Mrwebi, My soulmate Amanda Sindie and amazingly strong woman whom Im fortunate to be her son Mandisa Mrwebi and thousands of my fellow friends will understand and enjoy my 20i5 new way of life.... Happy New Year my beloved nation....
